I have some bad news!

On Friday I called only to be told I am under

DETAILED REVIEW

Now I have no idea what this is! The lady said it may be a SECURITY CHECK

But cannot offer any more info... was told to call back in 30 days.................. Am I in a Spinning Black Hole of the USCIS?

Now I am pissed !

USCIS is making any excuse to delay an application! I am so sorry to hear this for you JohnWendy! This system is totally broken and someone needs to hear us! USCIS has tampered with so many lives and I can't stand it anymore! I would contact the congressman office and your Senators office. Which again I'm putting pressure on mine. This process is extreme and unfair and no person should have to wait this long! Good luck!!!

I am also ANGRY! CSC now has Gogo, JRMach I and you in the same situation for this detailed checking! JG0407 has an RFE because their passport photo is to large and CSC can't determine if I'm the same person! What the hell USCIS? You people have no common sense and no brains!!:angry:JUST RELEASE OUR APPROVALS!!!

Sorry to hear this JohnWendy. Here is a link to the USCIS detailed review:

In short it means they must do more to verify the identity of the beneficiary.

Our updated journey:

I called NVC late last night and our petition was not receipted. This morning I spoke with a supervisor who said she could do nothing before our petition was entered into the system and petitions are entered electronically before they enter the building.

I proceeded to call USCIS and spoke with a nice lady who, after listening to my reasoning, put in a request for transfer. I should hear something no later than 11-20.

Such is life with the visa process.

USCIS said I would get a reply by 11-20 which is today. I received this email:

On 11/15/2007 you, or the designated representative shown below, contacted us about your case. Some of the key information given to us at that time was the following: Caller indicated they are:

-- Applicant or Petitioner Attorney Name:

-- Information not available Case type:

-- I129F Filing date: -- 04/16/2007

Type of service requested: -- Expedite

The status of this service request is: The case has been transferred to the National Visa Center on November 13, 2007. If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

I think the mis-information line has struck again or there is a typo in the email. I was told the petition was sent out Oct. 24 and this email states last Tuesday11-13.

11/13 is more likely based on the others approved in mid late October. 10/24 would have been one day after your NOA2. They hadn't even gotten the hard copy of hte NOA2 out to you and they had the petition ready to sent to NVC? That would be misinformation. Now, if they sent it on the 13th, have you called NVC to see if they have it?

I have tried, but have not been able to contact a human this week. It was not receipted as of late last week. Just today I started calling exactly at 8:30 AM EST this morning and have used up more than twenty minutes of long distance time while being put on hold for two minutes before NVC hangs up on me.

Anyway our petition was receipted today. The CSR seemed a little confused as he first told me the petition was already sent to Manila, then it was going to be sent today (hmm,11:30 PM seems a little late to be sending anything DHL), and finally that is was received today and will be sent shortly. The important part is I got the NVC receipt number.

I will add that this CSR is the first one that was not rude and followed the NVC customer service statement:

Congrats on your petition moving onwards, Edp333 :)

Thank you Cand J and Urge.

The uniqueness of NVC receipting our petition continues today. Back in October, I had contacted our Senator's office when our petition had gone past 180 days from the I-130 NOA1, but the office did not request more information until after USCIS approval. Yesterday, I sent the requested information and stated that it was day 29 for NVC to receipt our petition. As I posted on Urge's NVC thread I was contacted by our Senator's office this morning. The assistant I had contacted stated that my pettition had already been sent to Manila.

It does not seem possible that the petition was received and forwarded the same day. Is this why the NVC CSR was so confused? Did someone at NVC have a kind heart or was trying to stay ahead of the 30 day timeline? Did God intervene?

Do I put the same date for NVC received and sent?

For what I hope is a final update for NVC, I received a letter from NVC yesterday, which is dated November 21, stating our K3 petition will be forwarded to the US Embassy within a week. This aroused my curiousity and I called NVC this morning. I asked the CSR what the recorded receipt and transfer dates are; to which she replied November 16th and November 20th. I made two inquiries and received two different answers. One case does not make a trend, but maybe NVC has a mis-information line also!! :jest:
