Hi,

I just started to fill in the I-129 form now, and the problem I have now is while I translate my Taiwan address to English, it's too long for the column 'Street Number and Name'. (See my attachment below)

I tried to search the instruction pdf for the petition, but they didn't mention about this situation. C

Has anyone run into the same problem? Can you please advise the solution for this?

Thanks in advance.

cheers,

Lulu

Are you using abbreviations like "dist" for district, "Ln" for Lane, etc to maximize space ?  One of our address in Taipei was pretty long (an apt in an alley  on a lane off Roosevelt Road in Taipei).  We were able to fit it in.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

One more thing.......since citizens in Taiwan can use ESTA, have you thought about a wedding in Taiwan and a CR-1 visa instead of a K-1?

K-1

    More expensive than CR-1

Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork)

Spouse can not leave the US until she receives approved Advance Parole (approx 3-4 months)

Spouse can not work until she receives EAD (approx 3-4 months)

some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period .

Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed.

CR-1

    Less expensive than K-1

    No AOS required.

Spouse can immediately travel outside the US

Spouse can start work if desired

Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card withing 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US

Spouse  has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US.

All-in-all, the CR-1 is superior to the K-1 imo.

But if the spouse doesn't live together then how they can get enough evidences of their marriage life, like the joining bank account, names on the bills...?

I couldn't fill in the district so I just didn't put the dist ,a blank couldn't allow me to put in "Rd",but you can write it by hand in black ink

For Taiwan we put:

Street number: 255 w sample Rd

Apt number: #4

City: Taipei

Zip: 188

Providence: Wu District

Country: Taiwan

I hope this helps!
