Hi everyone,

My fiancé has his K-1 Visa interview scheduled at Casablanca for August 23rd so its coming up soon. He has compiled all the paperwork we need, and I have sent him my Affadavit of Support as well as supporting financial documents. The thing is, I used my mom as a co-sponsor, because her income was more stable than mine in the past four years (I graduated from college 2 years ago and have held 3 jobs since then, my current job is a government job and provides stable income). My Mom therefore filled out the affidavit of support, and all of the supporting documents include her past 4 years of IRS transcripts, employment verification letter, 6 months pay stubs, bank statements, Deed of house, value of house, value of her stocks and assets, and finally a signed letter from her detailing to what extent she is willing to support my fiancé. I'm wondering do I have to fill out an affidavit of support too? Its no problem, as I have my pay stubs, Irs transcripts, employment verification letter, bank account statement ready to email to my fiance...but I don't want to fill out an affidavit of support, send it to him for him to take to the interview and the consulate only read mines and not hers (as in I don't want to confuse them!).

Help!

Nadia

Yes. You each fill out your own I-864. You are the primary sponsor, even if your income is low and you need a joint sponsor.
