Hey Everyone,

My interview for my green card is next Tuesday morning and I just wanted some extra advice or any tips. I’m pretty nervous but just really want to make sure I don’t forget to bring anything, all and any advice would be great. My interview is at the Sydney Australia US consulate.

Thanks

The interview will be the easiest part as long as you have all the correct paperwork and documentation. SYD consulate staff are reserved but helpful and not intimidating. Go through the checklist.. separate documents into logical groups for your benefit. I used plastic sleeves to group documents together. And remember.. if there is a document missing, you will be told to submit it directly to the consulate so it will cause a little delay but not be a problem in the end.

Give yourself plenty of time to locate the entrance off the street to the building but don’t expect to be admitted before about 15 to 30 minutes prior to your interview time. You will be seen by a checkin clerk at the security level, a second clerk upstairs and finally the interviewing officer. Two sets of fingerprints and 2 oath statements upstairs

Breath.. gaze out  the 55th floor window at the amazing view over the harbour.. people watch.. it’s fascinating.. don’t forget to take your prepaid envelope if it’s on your list... and smile. In a short time it will be over and you will stand there thinking That’s it ??

Yep That’s it !! Done !
