15 days after your NOA2 you can call to NVC and ask for your case number! with the case number you can be checking the status of your case. once your case says "in transit" you will be able to schedule the interview! :)

DS160 can be filed anytime but some Embassy's require different procedures. See your Embassy's P3 below. Same with medical.

There are experts over in the sub -forum for your country located here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/ where others from your country are processing or they are there after they have finished with everything and can guide you on their experience. A TON of information and help there.

Once you receive case number:

First of all, if you haven’t already done so, make sure you complete your DS-160 and request your police certificate.  Now that you have your case number, you can call Knightsbridge to schedule your medical exam.  You’ll need to give them your case number when you schedule your appointment.  Once you have your exam scheduled, DS-160 completed and have everything else that you need for your interview, complete the Notification of Applicant Readiness Form and when your NVC case status changes to “In-transit” you can go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv to create an account and schedule an interview.  Make sure that you allow at least 5 working days between the date of your medical exam and the date of your interview or risk the results from the exam not arriving in time.  For your interview go here https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/  or call here 442074867822

fiancee) or K3/4 visa application. Please refer to our website at https://uk.usembassv.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/ for detailed instructions on preparing for your visa interview and scheduling the appointment.

In accordance with 9 FAM 41.81 PN3.2, please find:

•    One copy of the petitioner's approved Form I- 129F, together with any criminal background information (including information on protection orders) that USCIS has gathered on the petitioner and any information that USC1S has provided regarding prior Form 1-129F filings by the petitioner.

•    One copy of USCIS's pamphlet, "Information on the Legal Rights Available to Immigrant Victims of Domestic Violence in the United States and Facts about Immigrating on a Marriage-Based Visa.

Issuance of a K visa is not guaranteed. A Consular Officer will evaluate your case and make a final determination

You are advised not to make any travel plans until you receive your visa.

The DS 160 is not country specific. Ppl are saying that it's not taking pictures are say that try and it fails the just move. I'm of the school of mind that you attempt to upload a picture by changing your broswer for a different result. You just may have problems at the interview.

From what i heard, you can schedule and you should receive the "email" from Rio before the interview date because usually the next available interview date is one month out. they explained that in the forum where you wrote also! :)

That's a blanket answer and ALL Embassy can be different for their requirements. Here is what you need for Brazil.

You should become familiar with your country's sub-forum here on VJ to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with. This will allow you to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to take at the US Embassy - Brazil.  Sub-forum for Brazil is located here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/

This is the Packet 3 (P3) letter from your Embassy.

There is a lot of information on the Embassy for Brazil here https://br.usembassy.gov/visas/frequently-asked-questions-non-immigrant-visas/

That's not necessarily true for some Embassy's. Be careful presenting information till you are certain it pertains to a process. Providing links not only reinforces your knowledge but helps the recipient understand the subject matter.

I am a new comer here.  Just got my NOA2 yesterday, please what is the next line of action?

Checking on your embassy case number from NVC:
It will take 7 - 10 business days for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 2 - 5 business days for NVC to get your file in there system and produce your case number.  Call 7:00 am eastern time for shorter wait times.

1-603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888. Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

1 for English, then 7 (or 5, but I would go 7 as they would tell you if you should call 5 instead after they receive your case.)

Best time to call:
Right after they open around 7:00am US Eastern Time, Mon-Fri. I was always able to have the phone answered after the first ring if I called right at 7am.
