My husband's visa packet and passport got returned to the US Embassy-Philippines because there was a miscommunication with the lawyer where to pick up.

It's been 3 weeks already that we've been waiting. We updated the delivery address from the time the US embassy sent us an email that the passport and visa got returned to them.

We keep on calling the US embassy customer service but the case has been escalated already and no response from the US Embassy still.

Does anyone know how long will it take to be re-delivered? Please help.

Wow, I have never heard of that one before. So you had the visa go to your lawyer instead of the beneficiary, why would you do that?

Normally,  the Embassy sends the visa and packet via a courier service, and it is delivered to the beneficiary's address.  Yet another example of how lawyers can mess things up after paying them big money!  (Not saying they ALL do, as I don't see many posts on how great their lawyer did for them!, just the bad stuff! LOL)

I would go to the embassy anytime Monday thru Thursday, between 10:00 AM and 12 noon to Window 38, and bring a copy of your BC and any other document that will I d you to the Embassy. Explain the problem to them. Maybe Hank has an idea.

@Highmystic ~ the lawyer have it delivered to the courier but we thought he did in the home address until we found out late already when the visa and passport has been returned to the US embassy by the courier plus the contact info was incorrect

@Greenbaum ~ do you think it will help if we go directly to the US embassy? i don't want to cause any more delay.

Did you setup a delivery address here?:  http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-iv-documentdelivery.asp    If YES,  then that is the address where the package will be delivered.    If you have already contacted the embassy on this and they said it will be re-sent, then do nothing ... be patient.

There is information on tracking your package near the bottom of this page.
