Hi all,

NVC approved my AOS and IV package for CR1 class immigrant visa for Spouse of US Citizen. It has been 2 weeks already and still no appointment yet. I called them and they said they can not give me an estimated time for interview scheduling.

Anyone here can give me an estimated time for their CR1 case at US Consulate in HCMC ?

Thank you

Hi kookee,

What is your CC? My CC is June 27, and I am still waiting for an interview appointment. I saw someone with CC June 14 got an interview noticed on July 2 ; the interview's on August 7. Don't know if the NVC schedules an interview base on CC or PD . Please keep us updated if you get an interview. Thank you.

If CC means Case Completed at NVC so mine is July 03.

I reached out to a VisaJourney user who recently got his interview scheduled and here his response: "The NVC is not very helpful officially, but my understanding from other people's comments on the forum is that they start scheduling each month in the last week of the second month before.  If this is correct, they didn't have an August interview slot available for you, and they will start scheduling September interviews either next week or the following week. "

So I guess it should be within 3 weeks of Case Completed at NVC, the interview will be scheduled.

Unfortunately, nothing's new. I just called the NVC yesterday but they haven't scheduled mine yet. I hope we can get our interview noticed in the end of the month, possibly scheduled in September.

After done with this journey a year ago, I know there is a way you can check if your case has been schedule or not. Just check the case status if it say in transit that means your case has been schedule and on the way to Embassy.

NVC starts scheduling appointments in the last week of each month, once the consulates have advised them of the available appointments. That’s why people who were CC early in a month usually wait a bit, but people who CC closer to the end of the month can seem to get their appt set sooner. Call after 25 th of the month.

This is US Embassy located at HCM City, Vietnam so they will schedule the interview little bit different. You can check my timeline.
