Thank you, guys for your support and helpful advice. Yes, i definitely wait for another year to apply. But if i travel outside country this year, do they recount 5 years again? I haven’t gone anywhere for the last full 4 years.

Oh I know they are divorced now....I only brought up the part about the marital status being irrelevant after the 5 year period since OP was pointing out how long they had been married for/ previously applying for VAWA, etc. as if it would still be an issue during the N400 stage after 5 years.

No. A temporary trip outside the U.S. will not break your physical residency requirement needed for naturalization provided the trip was under 6 months. Have fun and travel if you wish.

8/18/2014: Accepted in Chicago. Transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

8/21/2014: Received NOA 1. I-130, I-485, I-765 in mail.

8/25/2014: Received biometrics in mail. Scheduled for 9/8/2014

9/24/2014: EAD approved. 36 Days!

12/07/2017: Notice of action issued. (IOE)

12/26/2017: Biometrics.

01/23/2019: Interview Scheduled for 2/27/2019.

02/27/2019: Joint I-751/N-400 interview. N-400 recommended for approval.

05/16/2019: N-400 APPROVED! Placed in line for oath ceremony.

05/17/2019: Oath ceremony notice mailed.

That is, from the date printed on the green card, (no matter when it arrived in the actual mailbox.)
