I have finally received my case number from NVC last week, paid for the AOS and IV fees, and now need to submit the packages I-864 and DS-230.

What I'm looking for:

1. AOS Checklist

2. AOS Cover Letter (if this is required?)

3. I filed an extension on my taxes this year due to an issue with my husband not having a SS# or ITIN#, will this affect our paperwork or should I just include the extension letter + my last 3 years taxes, pay check stubs, and letter from my employer stating my current salary?

3.A. Also, I missed a month of work on vacation visiting my husband in his country so I don't have a paystub for that time (this month) so do I need to submit a reason why I don't have paystubs for         June and include my plane tickets or something?

4. IV Checklist

5. IV Coverletter

6. Also, is the IV submitted by the spouse that lives outside of the US? to the consulate or NVC?

I'm in my husband's country until July 4th so I have  about a week to get anything I need together from him before I leave the country such as medical papers, police papers, and whatever else I might need. I've searched everywhere looking for detailed answers to these questions and can't really seem to find them...I could really use some direction!!

Thank you.

why no ITIN?

have him fill out the W7 and send it with taxes to get his ITIN

the only time u can do this is with tax returns

He isn't here and didn't pay taxes and I didn't know I needed to get him an ITIN number in order to file as married on my taxes. I filed married because on immigration groups it said that I needed to. So now my taxes are messed up because I filed married with my husband not having a SS#/ITIN# and I had to file an extension so I wouldn't owe the IRS like $1,500 for some dang reason -___-

My extension is until August so I plan on filing for an ITIN number as soon as I get back to the country next week.

Will the other info listed in my OP though plus my letter of acceptance from IRS for my extension be enough?

when u file taxes u have him do w7 form and file it with taxes     that gives him a ITIN as u are married and can claim him

bring up the form while u r there and get him to fill it out

instuctions tell u how and what documents r needed like marriage and is birth certificate
