Withdraw N400

Hello,

 

I’m a permanent resident with a 10 year green card and I submitted my N400 application under 3 year marriage on February of this year. I already did the biometrics and I’m currently waiting for the interview.

 

Things in my marriage are kinda rocky and we both don’t foresee a good outcome so I would like to withdraw my naturalization application and maybe apply in 2 years under the 5 year rule.

 

Does anyone know how to withdraw the application? I’ve been trying to find an answer in forums and the USCIS website with no luck. I guess I can just not show up when my interview is scheduled but I would like to stop the process now rather than waste somebody’s time.

I'd either make an infopass appointment or send a letter to the po box where you sent the application.

Send a request to have the application withdrawn in writing to the field office that has jurisdiction over your case.  Make sure to note your full name, A#, DOB and address.    Or you can make an infopass and hand in your letter to the agent there.
