N400 Update: Letter requesting 2 photographs

Hello Guys! After almost 2.5 months of waiting for a decision after my interview on April 13, wherein the IO stated he could not make a decision at that time, at the LA field office, I received a letter today requesting for two 2 x 2" photographs that I need to either hand-deliver or mail-in to the LA field office within 30 days. The mail-in address said, Attn: Oath Ceremony Unit which got me excited. Does this mean that my application has been approved and that my oath ceremony is underway after they've received my photos? Anyone else has experienced this?

I did pass the civics test but instead of getting approved right away, the IO said he could not make a decision on the day of my interview. And yes, I plan to submit the photos on Monday. :-)

I can't remember if they took a photo of me during my biometrics which I did in October of last year. And yes, I plan to hand-deliver my current photos on Monday.

That makes sense. I also asked a friend who had his name changed and he was also asked to submit two passport photos. Do you remember when your online status changed after you have submitted the passport photos?

It's been a week since I submitted my 2 passport photos yet no update yet so I called USCIS and asked for a L2 officer. The officer told me that as of yesterday, 07/02, my application has been APPROVED and that I am being scheduled for oath taking. He even congratulated me and advised to just wait for the oath taking ceremony letter in the mail. Thank God!
