Once our case has reached the embassy in Manilla how long in advance to they issue interview dates?  Is it like I have a 1 week notice before interview or is it more like a 1 month notice?  The reason I am asking is because I plan on attending the interview with my fiance and was hoping I could book my flight with some time to spare instead of last minute so it wouldn't be as expensive.  Thanks.

I'm pretty sure her interview won't be soon and you will have time to purchase your ticket in advance. You won't know until you file the DS-160 and then ask for an interview date. If I remember correctly it allows you to choose a date, sorry about not knowing a concrete answer for you.

javadown2 link should help.  Short answer is that you control the interview date.  The USEM does not issue dates for K-1s.  You can schedule it for when you want as long as you are mindful of expirations.

Finally done.

Your fiancee schedules her own interview date, as to how far it can be scheduled  - the appt calendar normally does not show more than 2 months (sometimes less)

If you have your MNL # it is ROCK n ROLL time!!   You can be done within a month if you wish, or take longer .. your choice.

Javadown gave you some links that should help you along.    Or you can click the link below in my signature.

@Hank_ @javadown2 @LunarGazer Hi! So I called NVC and got our MNL#. I am just so confused where to start. I tried reading the links but still my brain is not in its normal state maybe. I told my fiance to print the payment form and go pay the visa fee on monday. So after paying the fee, can we schedule an interview date (i plan on attending the interview on the 2nd week of august) even if the status of our case is still "at NVC"?

Correct, after paying the visa fee at BPI (wait about 12-24 hrs) then you can go online to schedule your interview.

Once you have your interview scheduled and printed out copies of the confirmation page (SLEC and USEM want copies) you can then complete the medical.

Process is:

Pay the visa fee at BPI

Schedule your interview online

Complete the medical at SLEC

Attend the interview    (your case file must be at the embassy by the time of the interview .. normally takes 2-3 weeks to transfer from NVC to USEM)

And somewhere in all this you complete CFO
