If I were you I would first get a ITIN for your spouse and then amend your taxes to show as married filing jointly. This is because it will be used as apart of your evidence for the CR1 visa. So if you do not amend your taxes then at the interview the CO could say to your spouse "I see that your husband/wife did not include you when he/she filed taxes, why did they not do this?"

Thank you so much!! I thought will just give my tax preparer her SSN(she got in March, 2017 when she was on K1) to file correction form on my 2017 taxes. 

She is in Russia now( waiting for CR1)
