I feel like this process is so daunting and every time I turn around there is something new to do! We have a child together and it has been a year since we have seen each other and we are so close to him being here.

He is currently residing in Russia and is waiting on his police check which is set to be ready June 14th and we have already done the DS-160. Once he receives his police check from Russia he will head immediately to Ukraine to get the police check there as well as medical exam and do the interview.

My questions are what is needed to have the medical exam completed. What documents does he need to bring besides documentation of vaccinations and do we need to complete an online application for this as well?

What are the steps after completing a successful interview? I feel like we have so much convincing evidence of our relationship and our son is also a U.S citizen which he inherited from me after being born in Ukraine. I'm so nervous that he will be denied for some silly reason and we will have to go without seeing each other for another year.

I know this post is long. I'm just so ready for him to be here and I don't want to make any mistakes!

If anyone has good forum links or links with information that would be fantastic!

Hi.

There is really a good guide on the US Embassy website - describes each step and how to get ready for an interview/what to bring with you.

Here is about medical:
