How long it takes to get email/text from USCIS?

Hi all!

 

I sent in my application package (with I-130,130A, 485, 864, 765, 131) along with the G-1145 on May 15 by USPS Express and it confirmed delivered on May 16 (With confirm received signed).

 

But until today I still haven't got any notification from USCIS, also I had a check on the cash orders, all of them are not being cashed yet. I'm just wondering how long does it take before they accept and let you know via text and email as stated? Thanks!! Just anxious to know if it's in the process.

I had the same issues. I ended up receiving my package back. Exactly two weeks after I submitted it. They didn’t accept my credit card payment. After I resubmitted my paperwork I received notifications via mail and text after 11 days. My check was cashed after 10 days after it was delivered.

Oh boy. Im not sure if they gonna send mine back or not becos of the bad handwriting on one of the money order. But i guess money order is not difficult as credit card cos it's actually 'cash'?

 

Did you re-sign all the forms and change the date when you resubmitted to them?

You won’t know until they send it back. It could be the forms or the money order/amount of the money order ? 

 

They stapled all the paperwork together and it had Time stamps on each page. They put the picture all together in one plastic bag and also kept the address sticker of my FedEx envelope. So I returned everything as is. The only thing I exchanged was form I-864 because there was a new edition available. 

I attached a personal check on the very top - a green paper that they send to you as well.

I checked many times before I mailed it I believe everything is fine. 

 

Ill wait another week to see if I got any news. I don’t think there’s a way I can check with them about the process right?

You should actually call them and don't wait another week. Call them today and/or tomorrow. They will ask you:"Has it been more than 10 days since you submitted your application?" When I said yes she wanted to transfer me to a tier 2 officer to clarify the situation but on that day they did not accept anymore calls. I  was planning on calling on a Wednesday but I received the package on thatTuesday before....

Thanks! Just called them and have a call back scheduled. They should call me back in about 1.5hours. Hopefully everything is alright

So I talked to the lady she said might be there’s something wrong with my application since my money order still not being cashed. 

She asked me to email the lockbox support to have a check instead

i sent them an email just now and now all I can do is wait for there reply or hopefully there’s something from them in the mail to tell us what’s going on.

It will take about 1.5 to 2 weeks until they reply. You might receive it by mail by then, hopefully.

 Good news!

just now I received email and sms said my case was received, and within 7-10 days I will receive my official receipt notice by mail

when i received the receipt there will be an appointment for the biometrics? Or still need to wait?

No, that letter will come seperately. I got mine 2 weeks after got my hardcopies of my first NOAs for i-485, i-131, i-1765. You can check out my timeline in my signature.

Oh yea! Sorry i overlooked it. 

 

My heart keeps jumping so fast since i received the sms, and I just check the status of the money order it said the money orders have been present for cashing.
