We sent our packets (AOS, AED and Advance parole) last January 29, 2018

and been done with the biometrics last march 1, 2018 but still no update.

I've usually check my cases thru online and see the progress on what date they are processing,  2 days ago i seen that they are processing those who filed on 31st of December 2017, but when i checked it today, i saw that they are processing those who filed on December 10, 2017. Anyone with the same situation with me?

I'm starting to get worried why it is not moving and didn't received any updates after my biometrics.

I can't process anything due to didn't able to get SSN prior the expiration of my visa. :( so even if i want to take the driver's knowledge test, they will not allow me and they are not accepting the letter that i received for USCIS

Sorry but it might be a long wait. Their processing times are getting longer and longer. It has only been 4 months for you. You're still on the very early side of this process. EADs are taking 5-8 months. If you are on the shorter side, it's because you got lucky and your case was on the desk of someone who works fast. It took them 6 months to update my case and it was to send an RFIE. By the time we sent our response and they approved my EAD, it had been 8 months.

Have you checked this website? https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/. This is more up-to-date.

I used to check my status through the other one: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do

The second website isn't up-to-date. I actually just got an update last June 1, 2018 that my status is ' Card/ Document Production ' when in fact I received my EAD Card May 7, 2017.

Yup, status update after one year!!!

Unfortunately, that is a big disadvantage of K1 since you can't work for a few months.AOS right now took about a year and AP+AED took around 4-6 months.

yeah.. but still hoping that it will move smoothly..

They asked for additional financial evidence for the I-864. We filed in August 2017 and between October-ish to December, I called to ask about the EAD. They told me to just keep waiting. January came and I finally emailed my senator. On Feb 1 (please see my signature for details on dates), they mailed the RFIE asking for more income evidence and/or paperwork for a joint sponsor. We realized WE had made a mistake regarding my husband's income. We originally thought he made enough but we had looked at the wrong numbers. He didn't make enough so we had to get a joint sponsor (husband's dad). After we sent all that, the EAD approval and combo card a month later. The reason they sent the RFIE at all though was because it had been so long since they originally received our case. They wanted to make sure we still qualified because a lot can change in six months. Hope this helps.

Yes it was a long wait but we got the EAD and we don't have any complicated circumstances in our case. We are now waiting to hear about our interview so I'm overall just very glad to be at this point. Good luck! The waiting sucks but if you have no complicated aspects to your case, just know that the long wait is due to USCIS taking their sweet sweet time. They have tons and tons and tons of applications, plus internal workplace politics and changes to deal with, PLUS the ever-shifting federal government and the burden of national security to take care of.
