My wife had her CR1 Visa interview last week in Islamabad but they rejected her co-sponsor claiming that person has sponsored people in the past and told her to find a new co-sponsor.  They also wanted more pictures of our nikkah since we only did the nikkah and brought 11 pictures which already included pictures of both our parents at the nikkah.  They also told her to send any receipts of money I sent to her which I can take care of since I did send money to her.  I talk to my wife just about everyday on whatsapp for the past year and I would like to send those chats too.  Other than that, I don't have any other pictures of us since we were planning to do the main wedding after I pick her up from Pakistan.  They asked her that too.  Is this gonna be a problem?? I'm scared now.  They did keep her passport and nadra ID with her. Other details are that we had an arranged marriage and married last year in January but I never went back to visit due to working and money issues and the main plan of picking her up after she gets her visa.  Both of us never married before and our age difference is only 2 years, we're both Pakistani Muslims. Any idea whether they will approve her visa?? Any other things I should send? Please help, thanks.

After submitting all documents from what I have seen on this forum it will take from 1 month to a year for approval depending on a lot of factors

just make sure your joint sponsor is solid and it’s better if you have some kind of relationship with Co sponsee. If though it’s not a requirement but I’ve seen people getting scrutinized if they get random people Co sponsoring them

good luck

Co-sponsor probably sponsored other friends/relatives. Hopefully he/she disclosed that on I-864.

What makes it that your income is not enough?

I barely make the poverty guidelines for 2 people.  Also I talked to the co-sponsor who is a family friend but they said they only sponsored two people and they both are US citizens now so I still don't understand why they rejected her as a co-sponsor.

Its not gonna be a random person but a long time family friend, do we have to prove that too??
