AP denied, EAD in production

Hey guys,

 

I had some updates yesterday on my case (Aos from K1, oct filer), EAD card is in production but my AP got denied. Seeing as how i don't plan on traveling until December and they also scheduled me an interview (i imagine a month from now), should i bother doing an appeal? I know processing times got lengthier but i'm almost positive i'll get my GC before Dec. Is anyone else in this situation?

You can refile for AP also. Surprised they would deny it but approve EAD. Most generally have no issues that I know of even if they never plan on using it like ourselves. If you are pretty sure you will have the GC in hand before any planned travel then I would't worry about it, otherwise again maybe just file for it again.

When you get the denial, mind sharing what the reason was? It's odd to be denied AP with a properly filed form.

Will do! I find that odd too, i don't think i messed up the form. The weird thing is my update says "We dismissed your appeal", but i didn't file for an appeal yet.

Hey, turns out they made a mistake with the initial update, because it changed to approved. All is well
