Hello everyone, I just wanted to share my interview experience!

I had a pending I-751 (ROC) filed July 2016 and N-400 filed (under 3 year rule) July 2017.

My interview was at the Centennial, CO office today at 7:30 am.

We got to the office and they didn't let my wife up since she had our son's food in her bag. So she had to go back to the car to feed him.

- Once I got up to the room, they called me right away (at about 7:10) and I walked up to the officer and she asked if I brought my spouse with me. I said yes, but she's in the car feeding our son. She was very understanding and said she'd come back out in 10 mins to check on me.

- She came back out (once my wife was back with me) and called for me. She explained to us that she will need to do a I-751 interview (even thought we never got a notice) with both of us and then she will escort my wife and son out while she finishes my N-400 interview.

- Once she swore us in, she started asking some basic questions like how we met, where we lived, why we moved etc. She asked for docs for our son's birth certificate, tax returns etc. Once all that was done, she said my wife was good to leave, so she escorted us both out and just me back in.

- She swore me in again and started going through the N-400 application.

- She started at the name, DOB etc. and once all the ID info was completed, she switched to the English test. This was to read and write "The President lives in the white house." After this she re-asked some questions about our marriage/life together. Once that was done, she proceeded to the Civis test.

- Here were her questions:
  - What is one responsibility of a US Citizen?
  - How many senators are in the US?
  - What are the two branches of congress?
  - Who is your Governor?
  - Who was the first president?
  - What movement ended racial discrimination?

- Since I answered all 6 correctly, she didn't ask anymore and said I passed it.

- She then proceeded to ask all the Yes/No questions. I had missed out a couple of check boxes in my original application, but she didn't say anything about it and updated it all.

- She asked about citations and I asked her if traffic tickets counted, she said yes and asked me details. I told her I only remembered one for speeding from last year for about $100, but said there might be more that I don't remember. She said that was okay and as long as there were no misdemeanors, there wasn't an issue.

- She also asked me about my involvement in groups (church membership/non-profit) and asked me a couple of details.

- Once all that was done, she asked me to read and sign the application.

- She then told me that my petition was approved! She said she would do her best to get me an oath within a couple of weeks or so. She did say that they've been scheduling them pretty quickly and that I should see an email from them as well about the oath since mail takes a while sometime.

- She handed me the final approval sheet, I thanked her and she walked me out.

Thank you to this community for all the help and encouragement through this process! Would be a lonely journey without you guys. If you are still waiting....don't lose and hang in there. Your time will come and it will be a great day! If anyone has any questions about my experience, feel free to reply or message me and I'd love to help!

Has anyone seen this happen before? I had my N-400 interview yesterday and my ROC update with this status:

I'm confused as to why this is showing up now under my ROC. Any thoughts?

Don’t worry about those statuses they bounce up and down like crazy and isn’t an issue provided it’s not a derogatory statement. Just wait for your oath ceremony schedule.

FYI for anyone like me, going in to a N-400 interview with a pending ROC, I received this letter from my local USCIS office today. So from the looks of it, I think my I-751 is also at my local office and I will hopefully have them both decided on the same day.

Hi there, do you happen to have your service request number?

I submitted my i-751 in SoCal in Oct 2016. In May I got a notice that my case was transferred to NBC like most folks here. It has been over 21 months since then and the USCIS rep has recommended that I put in a service request. I should expect a response in 30 days. It has been 40 days since and I have not received any form of response. Called back and was told I should email CSC follow up, and include my service request number. I don't have it and don't remember them giving it to me last time either.

Called back to put in another service request so I can get a number in case my last one got lost. They said my previous service request wasn't even processed so they can't put another one in.

How long did you wait from the time you put in the service request, to when you received it in the mail? Thanks a lot.

Hi everyone,

A synopsis of my I-751 and N-400

- Submitted I-751 and received i-797 on Oct 24, 2016. Fingerprint for I-751 on Dec 09, 2016.

- i-797 expires Oct 24, 2017. Got Infopass appt to get I-551 stamp to extend until Sept 02, 2018.

- Submitted N-400 in Jan 2018. Fingerprint for N-400 on Feb 02, 2018

- May 01 2018, got notice that i-751 is transferred to NBC

Have called numerous times, USCIS keeps saying my case is within processing time and there's nothing to be done. Finally when it passed the 21-month processing period, they let me put in a "service request" and to wait 30 days to hear back. It's been 40 days since and have not heard anything. Called back, USCIS said to email csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov with my receipt and service request number. Don't have the latter. Don't even remember them giving it to me. Emailed anyways. Called back USCIS to put in another service request in case my last one got lost. They said the previous one didn't even get processed, so they can't put in another one. Asked me to call back next week.

My big question is, since my i-551 stamp is expiring in Sep, 2018 and I have both i-751 and N-400 pending, can I get another infopass appt to get another i-551? I don't mind doing that, but when I was on the phone with the USCIS rep, she said I have to wait to see the response to my i-751 request.

Bottom line, based on my situation, can I get another i-551 stamp?

I hope that, thank you Derwood.

I know someone lives in Cincinnati also and applied for her N-400 in Feb 2018, her interview & her oath were in April!

Within 60 days she finished everything about her N-400 from A to Z. She also did hers under 3 years rule, but she doesn't had an I-751 case.

Hey guys I also got that same information on my case trucker . I submitted my i1751 in the first week of June 2017 and it went pending for until February 13th,2019 when my status changed and while my case was pending I went ahead and applied for my citizenship and I was interviewed on that and I passed unfortunately my husband could not mak it with me because he had doctors appointment for work and it was needed done so he couldn’t come with me and I had to go alone . When I finished my interview for n400,the officer went straight to my i1751 and started asking me questions about my husband which I answered and he asked me by any chance if my husband came with me ?I told him was not there he didn’t come and I gave the reason why he couldn’t come.He then said they would send us letter for an interview and I waited for like 3 to 4 months and my status changed that my new card has been ordered and not too many hours it again said my case had been transferred to a new USCIS for jurisdictions and they sent me the letter coming in the mail. What does it mean any body can answer me would be really thanks thanks Sarah.
