Hello everyone !

Me and my new wife from Philippines are ready to get her child . We have heard about a follow to join.We tried to get her sister on a b-2 visa to help him get here but she was denied. He has received his k-2 visa and travel clearance from DSWD. Neither of us have experience with minors flying alone especially internationally. It is my understanding most airlines after the age of 12 (he is 13) are permitted to fly alone. We tried asiana but they keep requesting that the person who uses a credit card matches the person flying. I'm not sure how they expect a 13 year old to buy a ticket with there name on a credit card ?? Yet they allow unaccompanied  minors and a program called family assistance for a fee to help them thorough the airport process at terminals and immigration. Also when my wife left under her k-1 visa she was requested to pay a "tax" before she left. Will her child be expected to do the same? Can anyone shed some light on this. It would help a lot :)

More than likely you will have to pay the airline because of how young he is right now. But I would like you to ask this question in the Philippines subforum because someone who knows more about K2s from the Philippines maybe able to help you further.

All departing international travelers will pay the terminal fee of PH 750 .  He will also likely pay the Phillipino tax of PH 1620

Findf a travel agent for the booking of the ticket or use a site such a Kayak.  I have booked many a flight for a person in a different name than my CC
