Hello all,

I'm sorry if this has been asked already. I am the petitioner and I want to get a different job. The only reason I am staying with my current employer is because i'm worried switching will basically restart our process. We haven't filed yet but we will be within the next 2 months. I've been with this company for over 2 years now and I thought I read somewhere that you need to show proof of a stable income when you petition. If I were to take a different job, would that work against us since I would just be starting with that company?

If the new job pays well above the poverty line required, by time process went through you would have been there 7-10 months. If you can show annual income overall, and especially with them is sufficient, shouldn't be an issue.

Main issue is if you say had only been with them maybe 1-2 months; but by 7-10 months you have generally established yourself in the company.

Okay, thank you so much for clarifying for me.
