Email says administrative processing while ceac status shows returned to nvc!!

I have been on administrative processing since oct 2017. We received an email from consulate saying we are still under administrative processing but status shows returned to nvc

 

while my daughter has been issued ir2 visa. My case still in ap!

Sounds like there is something wrong with your petition and they have sent it back.

Usually situations like this are so confusing . When the embassy sent you email telling you that you are still under administrative processing then i will rather take what they said. Because, the NVC case status is usually computerized and may create some confusion for you at times.. But to be on the safest side I would rather prefer you make the petitioner contact the congressman or the senator to ask the embassy the status of your case. if is returned they will tell them and if is still with them and under administrative processing they will tell them as well.

Actually we received the email in morning and checked status in afternoon..
