Scott wasn't the best Tarzan, but he was in a couple of the best Tarzan movies.

Tarzan's Greatest Adventure & Tarzan the Magnificent are particular favorites of mine. Used to like a lot of those old movies.

Gordon Scott was pretty good but I liked Johnny Weissmuller the best.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Johnny's THE ONE I think of interchangeably with Tarzan.

(I can remember a lawsuit about Trivial Pursuit in 1984 where the plaintiff stated they'd "put a mistake in to detect unauthorised copy"; I believed it as JW was the WRONG answer--based on the card--for "first movie Tarzan" in Baby-boomer edition)

I never thought too much of Johnny Weismullers movies. Gordon Scott's were pretty gritty (especially Tarzan's Greatest Adventure - which had Sean Connery and Anthony Quayle as the villains) but he wasn't a very good actor. Plus someone decided that having Cheetah run around in the buff was offensive - so they dressed him up in a mini loin cloth - which was beyond camp.
