My husband was denied his adjustment of status. We are going to reapply. I was wondering if anyone has gone through this and if they have any advice.

Why was he denied AOS?

The had requested more information about our finances from myself and the joint sponsor I gave my information but the joint sponsor refused to help us anymore. We have someone else that is willing to be the joint sponsor now so we want to refile

The joint sponsor had sponsored my husband for the k-1 visa and had agreed to sponsor him for the AOS. When we told him that they were asking for more evidence he said he couldn’t help us. He blocked my husband and didn’t explain any further. My husband has been able to find someone else to be the joint sponsor and so we want to file again. Which I hope won’t be a problem.

Your first joint sponsor might have felt financially unsafe when you went around asking for more documents. While it is sad, it is understandable as.

 

You need to make a solemn promise to your second sponsor that you guys will be self reliant and not be dependent on them.
