The 4th was a joke because of May the 4th be with you star wars meme. I forgot who said they think it might be on the 7th.

Oh lol yeah! I got the stars wars part. But I was wondering, maybe there was some news about an update on the 4rth and the 7th for whatever reason. Nothing is no longer strange, when its about USCIS. Weekends are a bit of a bummer because you know that there are  going to be no updates but I have never so fervently looked forward to monday mornings  expecting that magic text or email from USCIS😄

This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes Psalm 118:23:)

Did anyone get letters in the mail stating our case had been transferred to our local office? Mine was transferred in February but I never got anything in the mail stating so. I can only see it online. Thanks

From what I've seen on VJ you only get a physical letter when you receive the status that states your case has been transferred and is under a new offices jurisdiction which is the case for most of us here. So we'll probably see one next week.

You are welcome. Next week USCIS will mess with us again by sending us all those texts and emails. It's hard to take those notifications serious anymore but my gut feeling is that there is some progress going on. This month will be crucial as many things will unfold :clock:

Hello everyone! The interview went well. Our IO has never adjudicated I751 but took it on. He didn’t ask many questions about the green card, and said he is approving it. N-400 exam was easy. We really did luck out with our IO as he was extremely nice. He said we should expect an oath letter in a couple of weeks.

Congratulations!

I have been following VJ off and on in last 2 years. I filled my I 751 divorced waiver in Aug 2016, received NOA after 5 days and received fingerprinting appointment after approx. 2 months. I was unable to check my status online it didn't recognize my receipt number. I received a letter from local USCIS office on March 23rd for interview. I had interview on April 25th, 2018. My interview officer checked my documents asked some questions and at the end he said I am going to approve your application. On May 1st 2018 my status on USCIS website updated with "New card is Being Produced". On May 3rd it changed it to New office has Jurisdiction. I freaked out and called my lawyer and he called USCIS office and told me that your case is approved don't worry about online status.  I got letter in mail last night it says that congratulations! we approved your application and you will get your green card within 60 days. I just wanted to share my journey with you guys specially those who are waiting.

Hello everyone. I have been following this thread since it was created, but I signed up as a member today. I filed I-751 in February 2017, and I got "Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction" update like many of you here. I also filed N-400 earlier this April.

I was admitted to a PhD position in a highly ranked out-of-state university, where I would start in August 2018 (If I accepted the offer). The problem is that my wife (US citizen) can't move with me because of her job.  Do you see us living apart affecting my applications? Is anyone going through similar situation?

Thank you

Hello there!

I personally can't help you, but found this thread that might give you some answers.

Best of luck on your journey!

Interesting, but my N400 says approved online (awaiting oath scheduling). I just got a letter from Cleveland saying they had removed restrictions on my conditional green card and that I would be receiving a green card in the mail (online the I-751 still says transferred to your local office).

Also my I-551 stamp I got last week says I-751 approved on the top off it in handwritten ink, but only valid for 2 months. Best bit about the I-551 stamp is the form you sign saying you are handing in your green card for destruction, but if you find it again you have to give it to USCIS.

I wonder if I'll get a 10 year GC before my oath or whether they actually won't send one, who knows.

Actually not true, you can get updates, someone got an interview notice for N400  a week ago and it was on a Sunday. Remember some AOS cases were approved at a weekend when I was waiting for my AOS. Its not common but it does happen. :)
