Believe me it is...but i have to stay strong, she doesnt need to here me stressing...she has to be calm and relaxed..stress is the worst thing for a girl who is pregnant...So i have to stay strong and have faith in the system and God and everything should be fine..I hope!!

We will all get through this.

I think this is going to be a very long week. We're SOOOO close to getting worked on, I'm going to be checking my status and this topic every ten minutes for some news! That is about the worst thing you can do when you're trying to make time go by faster! But I can't help it now.

Wow, I never even thought of how much more difficult this would be if I was pregnant. Those of you going through that while doing this process have my deepest sympathy (well, not to say I feel sad about their pregnancies, of course - you know what I mean!), and best wishes.

I really have a feeling once we get through this week, things are going to start happening! One more week, we can do this!

Haha, now is a good time to work on stupid projects you really don't want to do. I personally plan on going through all my junk drawers and closets and cleaning them out. It's a horrible job, but very time consuming. If I can make a few hours go by without thinking about immigration, I'm happy! That, or I need to figure out a way to lapse into a coma for a week or two. Wouldn't that be nice to wake up and have the NOA2 sitting there in the mail?!?! I kid, I kid.

After reading the Affidavit of Support info I am all worried. Well it says they can deny everything if I have been on govt help. To sum it all up I have been on govt help since I had my kids. I do plan on getting a job once he is here to help out. My mom is co signing but it says if I have been on govt help and dont plan on getting a job anytime soon they could deny it all. I do plan on getting a job but at the moment its not easy to so I wont be able to do that until he gets here. Thats besides the point though. I am just plain worried now. :(

Is there anyway you could start looking for a job? Maybe you could submit your resume with your I-134 and some information about jobs you've been applying to. Maybe you could put your starting date at a time when you think he'd be here. I'm not really sure what to tell you.

This would probably be better addressed in it's own thread. Alot of the more experienced VJ'ers don't visit "filers" threads. If you post it in it's own thread you'd probably get alot more information about what options you have and what steps you can take.

Good luck.

thanks so much- yeah i'm thinking i should cut myself off from looking at my timeline as it just makes me more frustrated-

i have been hearing over and over again especially with all the proposed changes with immigration laws that the fiance visa is really the only wayt to get over here- i'm happy we're doing it so young. i'm completely over the ' long distance is doable' thought though....

does anyone know about fiances visiting the us? my fiance was saying he's heard of people have trouble because of the landing cards and how theere is a clause that states you dont' have intentino on trying to become a citizen? he hasn't been visiting here because of it- making be have my 129038129038129 th visit to the uk... ha. i have been reading though that peoples fiances have been visiting here.

I have visited the US three times in the last 2 years. The first 2 visits before the K1 application and the 3rd one after. I am planning another trip in 2 weeks time. Last visit I was asked a number of questions about work and such but they let me visit. I am hoping that this visit will go well too and I am planning to take some proofs of ties to the UK (such as rent book, pay slips etc.)

17th March 2010 - Started the removal of conditions process

22nd March 2010 - Application received by CSC

30th April 2010 - Biometrics appointment

Some people have trouble and others don't. If he decides to visit make sure he brings alot of proof of times to his country, such as an employment letter, an apartment lease, etc. They may let him in, but they want to be certain he is going back home.

So I decided to try a little experiment and call the CSC regarding my case. I wanted to hear the company line regarding my visa processing time. True to form, like everyone else that has called recently, the friendly woman told me that they were working on petitions filed around January 13 (yeah right). She also stated they were about six months away from starting my case (I recieved my NOA1 on May 31).

So obviously the customer service personnel offer no realistic imformation. In fact, for those who do not know that this is erroneous information, this help line only serves to increase one's frustration and stress factor. It takes the same amount of time to give misinformation as it does to give hope. I guess customer service people forget about the human factor portion of their job.

Just my opinion for what it's worth. Good luck everyone!

As long as your fiance' has a valid b-1 or other visa he/she can enter the country. Keep in mind, an international visitor can be denied entrance anytime at a POE. It doesn't matter if they are applying for a K-1 or anything else. It's best for the traveler to just be honest without offering too much information. My fiance' will have been to the U.S. twice on his B-1 during our VJ. I have found POE people to be pretty fair and friendly (all over the world). I think it has a lot to do with your persona, I mean how you come across to the POE officials with your attitude and personality, etc. Good Luck

Well, I have some possibly good news!

My case got touched again! As I posted before, I was touched on August 2nd and 3rd, but received my NOA1 in the mail the next Monday, so I chalked those touches up to that notice being generated.

I signed in today to check my status, and the update date changed to August 12th!!!!

On one hand, very exciting and cool!

On the other hand, August 12th was yesterday. Sunday. Are they working Sunday's now? (haha, are they using that huge increase in fees to pay for overtime for the workers???)

I'm really not sure what to make of this touch! Hopefully there will be more to come this week!
