Got a copy of NOA1 and on Fiance name is an "A" number

Hi Everyone,

i hope someone can help. I'm at officially 183 days since my file was received by USCIS. I am beside my self with this whole process so I made an inquiry on the USCIS app on my phone asking about the NOA2. Looks like they thought I meant the NOA 1. so they sent me a copy of that letter, however, on that copy over my fiance's name where it says beneficiary is an "A" number. But we haven't received the NOA 2.. should I be excited, worried or disappointed?

If there's anyone out there that can ease my mind please let me know.

What is stated in the letter, is it stated the petition is approved? Or it the same like your NOA 1 just have A number?

The A number is supposed to appear next to the word Beneficiary on the NOA2. 

Does the letter start with "The above petition has been approved"?

When I got my NOA 2 for I-130 there was no A number above my spouse name...

It should be listed there on an I-129F approval though. Perhaps the approval letters for different petition types are formatted differently.

Did they put A number under the petitioner name?

I have no A number at all on my approval notice, DOS has gotten the petition now I am waiting for a case # and inv#

Not sure about that, maybe the format between NOA 2 for a fiancee visa and spouse visa is different.

Has your fiancé/e ever been to the states before? If they have, they have been assigned an alien number. And that number will be their number forever. If that note doesn’t say approved, all it really means is they’re probably working on your case and have entered it into the system? You still have to wait for NOA2 and an NVC number.

No approval no indication of anything except the fact that i realized that the "A" number was above his name. He is the beneficiary. i guess I just wanted to know if this is a positive indication for my I129F petition has been approved.

Wishful thinking...
