Once you enter the country the 90 days clock starts ticking. You can marry on the last day and then start the AOS process. I would not recommend waiting to file for AOS too long as your now wife will not be able to work before she gets EAD or GC.

Hope this helps to get you start filing ASAP.

It's okay to file outside the 90 days, just do it as soon as possible.

You dont have to file AOS within 90 days, but you may need to before the 2 year removal of condiations stage comes around. But without filing for AOS, your wife will not be able to travel outside of the US and return or hold a job. That and fees are expected to increase quite significally, It would be a good idea to get it filed as soon as possible.

as others have stated, do it as soon as you can. you can have everything else done, so when you receive the marriage certificate, you'll be ready to submit it. don't worry, you won't be deported.

The K1 visa expires in 90 days. And even if you got married on the 90th day since it already satisfied the conditions that you should be married within 90 days then there's nothing to be worried about. We exhausted our 90 day period to get to know each other, learn for the very first time things I didnt know growing up from the Philippines. Coming from a different culture and background it's a MUST to be familiar and adjusted to the person and place where you will be staying for the rest of your life. I'm glad I did.

In our case we got married in Hawaii, it took 3 months after the wedding to get the marriage license and therefore no AOS application took place for 90 days. IT's not necessary for you to do the AOS right away, like us we waited for the marriage license to be mailed from Honolulu, HI. And it took 3 months, pretty long wait just for not getting married in the mainland. lol. Dont fret, you will not be deported. :innocent:

God bless you.

English isn't my 1st language. If anyone is offended/annoyed because of the way I constructed my sentences/replies/comments/essay etc.., I do apologize. It's a personal opinion based on experiences, and should be taken with maturity and discretion. Written statements do not express emotions or feelings, it makes it more difficult to determine what is being conveyed. It is subjective to one's own interpretation. Read at your own risk. IGNORANT STINKY LOSERS USUALLY GET VERY VERY OFFENDED!!!

You will be technically out of status. Do not worry about it, though. As others said, if you file for AOS as soon as possible, you will be fine.

Some people believe that as long as they marry within 90 days of entry they do not have to file for AOS at all, if the accept being unable to work and travel. They are wrong.
