Limit on applications?

Is there any limit to the number of applications you can petition for? I know that sounds a bit strange, lol.
5 years ago I was engaged to a woman and ultimately we decided to withdraw the application as things didn't work out the way we hoped. We were never actually married as we were looking at the K1 process.

Is there a limit to the application process? I have since met someone and we dated for three years this time prior to getting married. Now looking at moving back to the states.

No, you should be fine. Especially with the timeline you just gave. Just make sure depending how far the last petition got that you supply the information regarding file/case number and all on the new petition.

There is a limit but not in a sense that after a certain amount you could never apply for others. But it is more of needing a waiver and explaining why you have so many petitions.

For K1's, I believe if you have 2 or more within a certain amount of year (I believe 3) then you will need a waiver.

Since you withdrew the application before the a visa was issued, I don't think you will need a waiver.

The waivers needed come and go with USCIS.  They just recently started requiring a waiver. I suspect In a few years they will not request it again.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

Here is the language from the instructions for I29F:

Item Numbers 5.a. - 5.d. Multiple Filer Waiver Request. You must request a waiver of the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act (IMBRA) filing limitations if:

1. You are filing this petition on behalf of your fiancé(e) and you previously filed Form I-129Fs on behalf of two or more fiancé(e) beneficiaries; or 2. You are filing this petition on behalf of your fiancé(e), you have previously had a Form I-129F approved, and less than two years have passed since the filing date of your previously approved petition.

If I am reading it right you do not need a waiver. You are not captured under 1. because you have only filed one I129F in the past. You are not captured under 2. because your last approved I129F was more than two years ago.

So rock 'n roll I think you're good to go!

I just filed an I129F with a waiver because I was subject to item 2.
