When I expect my check cashed?

I mailed in my I-129 petition Tuesday 1/9, it was recieved (through USPS tracking) on early Friday morning 1/12.  What is the typical time to wait until they cash my the check? 

 

I know it takes time,  and to be patient.... I'm just wondering when I can expect  the funds to come out of my account....

 

Also will the funds come out before I receive anything in the mail?   It's cold and snowy here so I don't go to the mailbox everyday... so I was thinking I wouldn't check the mailbox everyday until after the funds come or of my account, or is there a chance to get mail before the funds come out?

Normally a couple of days after they actually open your envelope and review all the contents for completeness first..after that, then generally a couple of days to a week (depending on what bank you use) for it to clear through your bank after they cash it.

After they review the packet and cash the check they will send you a NOA1. I received my NOA1 10 days after they cashed the check  (but that was last year.....it may take longer now)

It differs, sometimes the money disappears from the account before, sometimes after, you receive your electronic notification.

 

If you sent in the G-1145 for e-notification with the i-129f package you will receive texts and email as soon as your petition has been accepted.
