I would take two weeks. Heck, I would take a week.

I've been waiting for two years to try and become a police officer in Texas, for which US citizenship is a requirement. I'm tired of waiting.

Same thing here. 218 days

Wow, is shameful how USCIS is handling cases.

I know you have contacted Ombudsman, Inquiries and Congressman.

Have you tried InfoPass?

I can't even begin to imagine how you must be feeling.

Have you tried InfoPass appointments to talk in person with someone and see if there is something going on with your case?

Yes multiple info passes. Useless. L2 officer useless. No help at all

I'm sorry to hear that. I know they have told you a standard answer. But you have no signature or Timeline to get a sense of your journey, so, sorry if you have before said all the questions I am asking you.

What is the status of your I-485? Ready for interview?

Have you raised an inquiry via InfoPass?

Have you asked for an expedite based on Uscis error?

It is definitely very troubling that USCIS is taking that long with a case, and I read on another topic that you were even beginning to consider CP. In my opinion, it would be worth considering that a lawyer make an inquiry on your behalf before considering a CP route. Even if it is only for the EAD+AP.

My Lawyer had suggested that CP route will be longer since NVC would have transferred the file to USCIS as we notified NVC that I will be adjusting status here in USA back in July 2017.

Again this is so pathetic operation from USCIS.

My Priority date has been current since 2018 March Visa bulletin. If I had gone for CP, I would have been a Permanent Resident since March 2018, in line to apply for naturalization March 2023.

Now I am behind the line as I am not yet a Permanent Resident.

BTW, I just called NVC and they said USCIS has not yet requested the file (after 8 months still). So you might want to check w/ them as well, you will not be scheduled an interview unless they have your NVC case.

Which number did you call and what did you refer to when u called NVC?

Also USCIS is supposed to ask this as soon as they receive the I-485 case.

I called their general number and gave them the case #. You can find the case # on the welcome letter  you had received from NVC.

My wife's case is still at NVC, that's probably why she hasn't received the EAD+AP so far. Do you think we can actually go that route yet?
