From K1 visa to 10 years Permanent Resident

Hi guys, I got here thru K1 visa and was married last March 2017, I applied for my AOS May 2017 and got approved and received a 10 years Permanent Resident Visa.  I was a bit confused coz during the interview the consul told us to apply for the  removal of condition 90 days before the expiration of my visa ( which I assumed that would be 90 days before  2 years  from the date of issuance).  Is it really normal since, I've been here February 2017 and got married March 2017 and got my approval November 28, 2017. As far as I know from K1 visa to conditional permanent resident of 2 years, but mine was from K1 visa to 10 years Permanent Resident?   Hope I could get some clarification about this matter. Your help is truly appreciated.  thank you and God bless.

USCIS made an error with your card, you need to send it back and request a new one with the correct info on it. I think the form is called i-90.

Agreed. You were married for less than 2 years at the time AOS was approved. As such, you should have received a 2 year card.

While it is their mistake, in 2 years they could require that you file for ROC anyway, and failing to do so will terminate your LPR status. It's better to just avoid all that and get it fixed sooner.
