Now working on the cover letter for the I-864. Feels like I am at work because this is same kind of bureaucratic ####### I do there. Well, I am well practiced then, anyway. :P

Yes, the end is neigh for us. :)

ZzzZ, where is my husband's Packet 4? My husband got the card in the mail yesterday from the post office saying they received the visa application at least on the 5th. The checklist he sent out on the same day and also has confirmation of that. I will email them tomorrow to ask where it is if he still doesn't have it.

hello everybody :)

I have just read the guide about DCF and I am thinking if I should ask them if they will do that favor to me, before sending I 130 packet.....?

I am Polish residing in Germany for 2 years now. My husband is stationed here in Air Base. They did my K1 visa here.

Hello Agnes2012,

Question, I do not understand, you had a k1 visa before? You did not use it?

On the other hand, yes, you can do a DCF in Frankfurt. If you want to finish faster, go with your husband and file in person.

Good luck with your process

So you guys didn't ask them first if they were going to do the case?

I will just send the package then (I don't want to drive there all the way to Frankfurt....I am six months pregnant and my husband would have to take a day off especially for this purpose).

We are not in a hurry that much. I would like to complete the process sometime in November or December this year and ask them to issue my visa next sommer. My Polish friend did like this -they offered themselves that they would issues her visa, when she would be sure taht she would use it the following six months.

We have to do things this way, because my husband is going to be deployed in January or February and he will come back a short time before we move to US.

greetings :)

Good deal than no need to ask them to send the papers in, just send them. As long as the USC is residing in Germany you are good to go. Good luck

Wacken,

The fax for IV section Frankfurt is 069-75352260, so is the correct number the one you have. Are you sure that the fax went out? It happened to me, I sent the fax and I got an error so I resent it.

K1????? What is wrong over there? You better clarify this with Frankfurt cause you do not want a delay in your process. Imagine a wrong visa issued to your husband

Try to call Visa Section 06975358200 and see what's wrong!

All the best,

Adriana

and did he mail the DS-230 part 1?

hi :star:

I have almost everything completed for I 130

I have a few last question, though and I would appreciate any help :)

on I 130 is the question "Have you ever filed a petition for this or any other alien before?", so they mean any petition, right?

well, my husband filed I 129 F for me for K1 visa and I put this as an answer...

does approval of I 130 expire? for I 129 F it stated on NOA 2: valid from 17/02/2006 to 17/06/2006, so 4 months, but as far as I remember, the consulate had the power to extend it....

did you guys attached any proof of residence in germany for a petitioner?

greetings (F)(F)

I do not know about expiration of the I-130 but the petition is processed in Germany, they have a USCIS Office in Frankfurt, it takes between 60-90 days to be processed and than it is sent to the Visa Section Unit "downstairs'. You will communicate the Visa Section later in the process (packet 3) the date you will prefer to have the interview. Pretty much the visa unit is very understanding and it will follow your wish  After you have the interview you will get the visa which has an expiration date: 6 months. So you have 6 months to activate it or else it will expire.

Send proof of residency, make copies of the SOFA stamp your husband has. ;)

I wish you good luck!
