Hy

I am u.s citizen and i applied Petition I-130 for my spouse, and my son under 21 years unmarried  on 24 Sep 2017 and received NOA 1 on 13 oct priority date is 10oct.

Since than today 65 days have been passed but still there is no update in status online and i have not received any mail from them.

The status is still (case was received).

So is it normal for them to donot update status online or by mail,or i should contact them about my case.

It’s a waiting game. You just have to wait now. It took about 9 months for our petition to be approved and move onto the next step.

My husband is in Pakistan. We submitted our documents to NVC which is much faster than USCIS. hopefully the approvals will speed up and you can be reunited with your wife.

Your case will say received unless there is an RFE until such a time as  decision is made.  The petition stage is very opaque.

We are waiting because happens from time to time, but at least the case numbre is correct because the operator checked that, if in December doesn´t show anything again my wife is going to call again, but they said that everything is ok with the case, that no negative impact hitted the case, RFE´s or something!

Next January we are going to call again, December is a bad month for everything , work and process slows down a little and,my case was placed in Nebraska!

Have a great day!
