Hello!

I am currently in the Middle East for work. We have submitted our Petition last August and we received the NOA1 on August 21.

A part of me wants to go back to the Philippines and have the interview there.

I would like to know if it's a smart move to resign and move back to the Philippines and file for a "Change Of Address".

Will this delay our petition?

Should I just wait til we get the NOA2? Or should I just stay here in the Middle East and have the interview here.

Hello Kabayan,

Just my opinion po.. if in the beginning of the process it was chosen to process in Manila, then I think the whole process should be done there like the interview but all  I know you need police clearance from Middle east during the interview.. May I ask which country you are now?

For me I don't recommend resigning your work especially that this process will take sometime before final approval..  but if you are just willing to work in Philippines while waiting for the whole process to be done, it will be your choice..

I can not answer the question but i did find out something that you may need to know

If middle east means Saudi,   Saudi does not release a criminal investigation report on a foreigner and this you need for each country lived in for over a year

one of our members could not get this from Saudi and K1 was returned to the US on AP /  they went thru a year's wait to get the background check done by Homeland Security

I have no idea about other middle eastern countries but it would be worth your while to find out

Hello.. I just want to clarify.. there are some filipino workers who are in saudi and when they go exit like they will leave saudi for good, they are getting still police clearance and they able to get it.. is it the same police certificate can be use for K1 visa?

if the answer is yes, then we can still also get police cert from saudi..

then get one before you leave as after you go,  you can't as our Morocco friend said "he worked in Saudi 4 years and they would not give him a clearance as he was back in Morocco"

I think the smartest way is to get before leaving...if you are already in home country, then it must be very difficult..

@Filguy29 and @kris&me

Hey there. I am sorry. I should have been more specific.

I am here in Qatar and in our application, we placed my address here. I was just wondering how long will our petition be delayed if I go back to the Philippines.

Or should I just wait for the NOA2 before I go back to the Philippines. :)

Hi..im not an expert to this but since you have started the application in qatar, better to wait until everything is completed before leaving Qatar for good...
