Hello,

we sent our petition in JULY’17 wanted to to know the timeframe for the approval of our case as it’s more than 4 months now.

Also as evidence we have sent the photocopies of our whatsapp chat as it was frequently used and we are mostly in touch through that cause of the the time differences along with our engagement photos as it was celebrated with family and friends. Do you think they will ask for more evidence like call log or so??

And are my fiancé work papers required to be shown at the embassy as she is currently not working and is from India.

It takes 170+ days now.

they just started June so you have at least a month and a half to go.

Did you put any hard evidence such as boarding passes, passport stamps, itineraries?

Chats ya doesn't mean anything in uscis, uscis needs evidence that you met in the past two years and photos are only secondary evidence.

USCIS does not validate the validity of the relationship with the I-129F. You can choose to include things like chats and photos together to 'frontload" your petition so the CO at the embassy sees it beforehand, but it won't matter for the I-129F stage. USCIS just wants documented evidence of meeting at least once within the past 2 years. Photos are secondary evidence of this as putting a precise and verifiable date/location with a photo alone is very difficult (timestamps on photos are very easily forged).

Anyway, USCIS won't ask for things like call logs, but they should be available to show at the interview.

Is your fiance the USC petitioner or the beneficiary? The USC will need to present an I-134 to show that they are able to support the beneficiary in the US, along with evidence to back this up (such as a tax return, pay stubs, an employment letter, etc.). A co sponsor can be utilized if they don't meet the financial requirements (I believe India accepts co sponsors for the I-134 anyway...most consulates do).

Thank you for the answers🙌

Yes we have submitted the boarding passes and the also we have met within the two years frame wherein the engagement took place and so we have the engagement ceremony pictures that we have sent. My fiancé is the beneficiary and I am the petitioner so in this case I will be the one who will need to show the I-134 right? And not my fiancé who is the beneficiary and has currently quit her job.

170+ days is tough hopefully it passes by sooner.

Correct. Your fiance's current occupation isn't an issue since she will have a sponsor to mitigate the risk of becoming a public charge.
