Request for documents

Hello y'all, I hope all is well with everyone.  Does anybody how long it takes to approve the visa or get a response when one goes for interview at the US embassy in Ghana and they are asked to drop off joint sponsor documents at the dropbox at DHL area in Accra.  Any experience?  Thanks

I was told to do same after my interview. I dropped off the documents at DHL and one week later my passport and visa was ready for pick up

Thx Minpin for the reply.  So did you check your status on ceac website or did you register at ustraveldocs.com website?  Also how did you know your passport was ready?  thanks

Thanks Abies, but how long did it take to update it online at ceac website from administrative processing to issued?

Hello Evans!

I was given a sheet after my interview which instructed me to create a profile in order to receive notification when pasaport is ready for pick up.

Thats the link I entered to create the profile. Unless you create the profile and choose a location where the passport will be delivered you wouldnt know when it is ready. Thats what the Consular told me

I have done all that but I don’t see nothing... I just don’t understand this.

Evans please has your status changed on the ceac site from AP to ISSUED??

As for me... right after my interview. Let’s say 10 minuets after my interview my status changed from READY to ISSUED. So I never had AP.

I suggest you email the embassy directly or email support@ustraveldocs.com by just sending your passport number or call the numbers on that sheet they gave us after the interview to find out the status of your passport

This coming Wednesday will be exactly 2 weeks (14) days. So am thinking I should go on that day to check if is ready for pickup. I called the numbers on the sheet and some white guy answered and told me to check my status on CEAC site... If I see READY FOR PICKUP then I come. But honestly that’s not true. He’s just some confused guy. He also said I should wait if I get text or email or a call then I come over...  but from all the people I asked they didn’t get a text or call or email... they just went there on the 14th day and it was ready for pickup.

The CEAC site will never change to READY FOR PICK UP after ISSUED.

It is ustraveldoc.com/gh that will notify you when its ready for pick up. When you create your profile on that site you will enter your email and phone numbers so they can notify you. I had an email the next day after it was change to ISSUED that my passport has been picked up from the embassy to the location I choose for delivery i.e DHL

Hmmm... now I don’t know what else to do. Because I have created account with that site. But I don’t know if I will get a text or email. But I will go to the dhl office and check on Wednesday.
