Still did not receive RFIE in the mail for almost 2 months now despite service request and calls to uscis. How long is the alloted time for you to reply to an RFE before it expires?

It’s been almost 2 months now since they changed my case status online that they sent me a mail for a request for initial evidence which was last Sept.26,2017. Service request and multiple calls were made.. Just feeling worried because until now there’s no sign of the letter from them and it has an expiration date..It’s not our fault that we didn’t receive the mail, we didn’t move to another address or whatsoever. Anyone out there who has the same experience?

You should contact them immediately and ask to get it faxed. If they won't then contact your congressman. There is normally around 80 days to reply, and it should definetly not take 2 months to receive the rfe.

^ This. Keep a detailed record of all the contacts you've made to get the RFE, including dates, times, and the names of immigration officers you've spoken with.

 

Hopefully it doesn't get to this, but in the event you get any notice of an adverse action taken by USCIS because you didn't respond to the RFE, you can make a service request for expedited review because of a USCIS error (details below).
