My future fiance had her embassy interview yesterday and they told her that they needed to have the original copy of my divorce from my previous relationship. Embassy personnel told her get the document and follow the instructions and send it back to us with the passport included. Is that a good sign ? She was never told it was denied or approved. Any comments would be great.

Yes  that's a good sign. Just provide the copy of the divorce and everything should be fine.

If they just asked for the one document and said to send it and the passport then yes that is a good sign . Just follow instructions and reply with document as soon as possible you will go into administrative processing for awhile then should eventually get visa depending on embassy processing time.

beddy2015  & AussieTam- thanks for the comments! makes me feel better. I really love her and want to have her by my side ASAP. I sent the document via express service today. Should be there in 2 days.

Good luck The waiting is hard but definitely worth it . The stress makes it difficult but the feeling when the visa is actually in hand is amazing . Hoping you are together before the holiday season

How long did it take you from visa approval (interview approved) and getting the actual visa? And is it faster to pick it up or have it delivered via DHL in Bogota?

 

We're traveling to Bogota for our K-1 interview but we're only able to stay for a week. And there's new years holiday inbetween our stay. Trying to get the visa a.s.a.p.!

Alejandro, after submitting the divorce decree how long did it take for the visa to be issued? I’m on the same boat. Interview was Friday, divorce decree arrived today via FedEx and was submitted to DHL along with passport. How long did that take?
