Ok so I just found out today that my I-129F petition was approved on September 25th. If I wouldn’t have called I wouldn’t have known because they did not send me any kind of notice. My question if anyone can answer it is what is the next step? My fiancé lives in Jamaica

Was it a NOA1 OR NOA2

The online case status works fine for most people, though for a few it doesn't work properly. What does your online status say?

To get updates via text and/or email you need to create an account on USCIS' website and tick the boxes for text/email, it won't happen on its own.

Either way, you should have received the NOA2 hardcopy in your mailbox by now. If you haven't I suggest you ask them to resend it. The approval letter is needed.

You’re right. I feel like if I wouldn’t have called USCIS I wouldn’t have known about the approval. They told me it was approved on sept 25th and I have yet to receive anything. So yesterday they put in a request to have my approval letter sent to me. To me they are not updated enough. The website is never updated and I feel like the USCIS is not keeping up with the California office. My lawyer has not responded or contacted me since August and even then they are not helpful at all because they can’t tell me what I’m paying them for. All they did was mail off the package that I put together 😕. This process is frustrating. My son is already born and his dad missed the birth. We filed on April 17th. It’s Novemeber 😢

Oh also my online status still says that I haven’t even received my receipt and that if I don’t respond they will close my case 🤦🏼‍♀️. I have my receipt. So to me they are just not organized
