Hi all, so we passed our interview on 10/20, so hopefully she and her daughter will be coming to the US around mid November.  Couple of questions,

1. What are all the documents she will need besides the visa and yellow medical envelope?

2. What will I need to do to get her daughter registered for school etc?

I wanted to travel with them, but thought being there for the interview was more important.   Thanks for your support and guidance.

That's all that's required - and her passport, of course.

Thank you so much!  So she doesn't need a copy of NOA2 or other USCIS, NVC documentation correct?

Congrats to you both!

For her daughter, it all depends on where you live. Google the county public school website and see what the requirements are.

Basically, you may need the following:

1. A complete physical checkup

2. Make sure all required shots (as per school's requirement) are met. This can be done at the county health department and you will need to bring a copy of her vaccination record (the Yellow sheet) so they can create a vaccination record and give you a certified copy for registration

3. A copy of her birth certificate translated to English

4. A copy of her school transcript translated to English if she has gone to school in Vietnam

5. Her passport with the affixed K-1 Visa stamp

6. Your photo ID and your fiancee's photo ID. Your fiancee will need to accompany her daughter when you register her for school

If I remember anything else, I'll update this post.

One more question,  will they update the visa status on the CEAC website or Is it updated elsewhere? That way I can buy her tickets to come here when issued. Thanks!

They will update the CEAC page to show Visa was issued on MM/DD/YYYY so check that website often.

Btw, @Mike & Tuyen, make sure your fiancee has a copy of the DS-3025 Immunizations Record. She will need a copy of that for her and your step-daughter's AOS petition (needs to be transcribed onto form I-693).

Thank you @frontgear!  She will get the last of her immunizations in HCM the week she and my step daughter catch the flight.  I truly appreciate your advice, and am grateful for your help.
