Hello, everyone, 

 

I need help, please. I got my green card in September last year, but unfortunately, they put a wrong date of expiration. 

I didn't return it right away because we had a trip scheduled to the Czech Republic for December and I needed it to come back. 

 

I returned it in February/March. In July we moved to a different state (so I had to change the address) and now I have to apply for a new driver's license and everything, but I can't because I'm still waiting for the new card! (They told me they can't give me a new driver's license without my green card)

 

Can't believe I'm still waiting, all they had to do is to switch the date! :angry: My online status still says "biometrics appointment", which I had in June! 

 

How long does it take? Anyone in the same situation? This is getting so frustrating all over again..

Yes, they can a year or over which is utterly disgusting. I would inform my congressman, they should know, perhaps they would care enough

to put some pressure on this ridiculous mess. I just can't even grasp the logic of this time table to fix a little plastic card that they messed up
in the first place. I would be furious.

Consulate Received : July 30,2014 Transfer to right embassy complete.

July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

@Ebunoluwa That is terrible! That's so messed up! What if I want to leave the country, can I do that without the green card now when I am a resident?

Make an infopass and see if they can give you a stamp in your passport.
