Should I Be Concerned?

I had my IR1 interview last Thursday, September 14th, and was approved.  The interview was quick and easy, and the interviewer said that he expected me to have my visa and passport within a few days.  On September 15th, my CEAC status was updated to say:  "Issued.  Your visa is in final processing."  It is now one week later and my passport is still at the consulate.  No one has told me anything -- just a generic message that it can take time to process the visa.

 

Can anything go wrong after you have been approved for your visa?  Or is this just a case of processing taking longer than expected?

If your status is "Issued", then all is good.  It just takes time to prepare it.......Congratulations!!!

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
