Hello Everyone! Anyone here who undergone filling up the DS-5535 Form after the Interview at the US Embassy?

I had my Interview last July 25th of 2017. After the Interview, the American Interviewer told me that  I'm all good.

But told me that they should review my case since I went to a Muslim Community (MARAWI CITY: which is under a terrorist attack right now.  Leaving Mindanao under Martial Law.) to take my College Degree here in the Philippines.

When I got out from the US Embassy, I took my phone from my sister who was waiting outside the Embassy since mobile phones and the likes are not allowed so I just leave it at my sister's hand.

I checked my email on my phone and they sent me an email saying that I am under 221G (take note: I don't lack any documents during the Interview, I personally asked the American Interviewer about it after he asked me some questions and was typing something on the computer.) And in the email that they sent me, they didn't put any documents that I need to sent them or that was lacking. The American Interviewer gave me 2 pamphlets too and took my passport. So now, I'm waiting for almost 2 months now. Still, my case is still under Administrative Processing. I hope somebody from here  could share their experience about the DS-5535 (Supplemental Questions and Social Media Vetting) and how long did your visa case into issued. What can we do while waiting for our case to be issued? Or can we do something so they will make the process faster?

It seems that your case is just in Administrative Processing.  All cases require processing, but some cases and countries require longer times.  It could be several more months.  There is no time line or limit to the length of processing .

The good news is that they took your passport. Be patient.  It seems that all is good......

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Dear Mr./Ms. Ahad,

We understand that you would like to know the status of your U.S Visa application.

Please be advised that if your visa application is approved, your passport and visa can be collected from the pickup location you selected when you scheduled for an interview appointment. When your passport is available at the selected location you will receive an email that your passport is “Ready for Pick Up”.

Please be assured that once the processing is completed or if the Embassy needs further information, you will be intimated about the same.
