Hi everyone, Just wondering after I receive NOA2 how long after approx. do you think I will receive packet 3 ? and then how long after that till the interview. I am going through Montreal Consulate. Just want a general guideline. Look at the immigration timelines but alot of people don't update them to give a good general idea. Anyone have any idea. I have all the paperwork ready to go in rough, just need the actual forms to transfer it too.

Thanks for any and all replys !!!!!!!

Once you get the NOA2 it has to be sent to the NVC which varies in length of time from a few days to a few weeks. It is then at NVC for a short stopover (can be longer depending on the securtiy checks) where it is assigned a case number. It is then forwarded to the consulate.

According to the Embassy Info (at top of page) for Montreal it is taking approx. 2-4 months for interview date from when the Consulate receives the package from the NVC.

Buttons,

what is your receipt date on your NOA-2 ?

The reason that I'm asking is because there are some VJ's members that have had their NOA-1 around the same date as yours.

Thank you

Frank

Haven't gotten it yet, just really anticipating it. ......... I feel it coming.

How will i know when it has been received by the consulate will it say on the USCIS website?

Once the petition leaves the service center there is no updating online. Two seperate departments. To my knowledge you will receive a letter from NVC saying it has been forwarded to the consulate.
