Hi All, I met my fiance thru an Indian Matrimonial website (shaadi.com) . Some people on this forum got an IMBRA RFE for this even though Shaadi.com doesnt seem to qualify an an IMB . I hope to avoid this situation and looking for advise. Question is:

a) Do I disclose I met through Shaadi.com and as a preventive measure also include a letter (attached) I got from from Shaadi.com that they are   not an IMB?

or

b) Just say we met online without disclosing specific site name

Or is there an option c? Thanks for your help!

Option a is good.

Option b has resulted in RFEs in the past.

Option c is to only disclose how you first met in person, but this is still, riskier IMHO than option a.

I think A is the best way - you can try printing out the terms of service as well showing that they don't broker marriages, but if you can get a direct response from them it would be the ideal scenario.

We met on Shaadi.com too - I included a timeline of our love story, his profile and mine (only had word version), screen shot of our success story that only had first names and no picture.

All went well - no RFE, in US now on CR-1

Thanks all for your responses. I am going with Option A and attaching both email I got directly from Legal@shaadi.com and the attachment stating that they are not an IMB. Hopefully that should cover it. Appreciate your help!
