Employment History Question

We are filling out the employment history for my beneficiary currently. We have 4 jobs down so far from 2015-present. He does not remember the information of his employers prior to that. 

I see that the I-295F requests a 5 year employment history. What should I do to explain that he does not remember these small contract jobs he had?

What type of contract job were they?

He is a welder so all of his jobs are contract. He just doesn't remember any information prior to 2015.

It might be better to say he worked as a freelance welder for himself during those times, with multiple clients.   Maybe there is a better way to express it, but something to that effect.
