Hello,

I wonder when I should change my name officially.

Did You all file the AOS with Your new last name (if You are a women of course)

Or does this confuse the process?

Ah, and how do I change my name officially?

I remember the County Clerk told us what to do, but it was 05:00 in the morning and we just arrived at Las Vegas.

If you are going to use your new husband's last name legally from now on, you should definitely fill in your AOS (and EAD and AP if you are applying for those) in your new name.

You don't really have to do anything to change your name, except if you have credit cards, driver's licence, etc. in your maiden name. All you have to do to change those to your married name is show them your marriage certificate.

--Hi i think you have to use your married name(husbands name) to file aos,ead, and ap. I don't think they would let you change your name on some ID's like drivers license,credit cards,ssn if you're going to show them just your marriage certificate because we did this and they didn't let us unless your going to show them proof of Lawful status like Greencard. I think it differs from state to state...I just had the name on my driver's license changed last week, and all I had to do was show them the marriage certificate (well, and pay some money of course )

so an official "name change" does not exist.

And I will just file the AOS with my married name. okidoki.
