It's funny how other countries don't allow for any discrimination, allows everyone to serve no matter gender/sexuality or anything else and they are doing great. And the US can barely let women serve or you get your panties in a bunch.

When I was in the military our platoon leader was an openly gay woman. No one had an issue with that. You know why? Because when you put on that uniform you're not a man or woman, gay or straight, you're a soldier first and foremost.

Yes because gays can server openly in the Saudi Army. Other countries indeed.

As for gay women in the Army. They usually made good soldiers. The non gay women not so much

The US doesn't disallow transgenders the right to serve. Try and stick to the issue here. Playing the "I'm offended" card doesn't give you a free pass on making nonsensical arguments.

playing the 'i'm emboldened" card doesn't give anyone to a free pass to spout nonsense.

of course trump's tweets are not law and multiple folks here have said that trump's 'announcement' yesterday was nothing more than distraction. disagreeing with the signaling trump is putting out there for his base is not being "offended".

I'm sorry what information are you basing this on, other than your own ignorance?

Nope, seems like I read it fine. Your argument directly states that the US discriminates based on gender/sexuality. They don't. Unlike the old DADT people aren't kicked out for being transgender. They're allowed to serve provided they fit the criteria everyone else does.

So.. not even remotely an issue of discrimination. Those who suggest this are simply embellishing the issue of not paying for gender therapy and other stuff into not being able to serve and other nonsense. Typical with narratives.

No then I would have mentioned US is currently doing it. My post only state that everyone else is capable of it and doing great.  I don't see a reason why the us would potentially kick transgendered people out.

13 years of experience. Men and women serving in the same unit in a tactical environment detracts from combat effectiveness

So just personal experience?

Perhaps they detract from your combat effectiveness, but not the majority? You can't only use one person's personal experience to make grandiose judgements.

5 years in the Swedish Army. During my training we were 50% women 50% men. I'm a woman and I did great. So no idea what you're talking about.
