N-400 July 2017 Filers

I woke up this morning with "scary" email from USCIS - We updated your case and It needs your attention (with exclamation symbol). I immediately signed in because I was worried that they are rejecting my application ( paranoid much  ). It turns out to be a good one. They scheduled my biometrics. No letter posted yet but last updated today. So hopefully the letter will be posted soon. But it was so quick, considering I e-filed on Wednesday.

Also, my I 751 is still pending (ROC extension exp Oct 2017). I went to infopass appt and the officer is very nice and stamped my passport without questions. Now I dont have to worry about my work authorization until next year if my N400 or I 751 are moving slow.

Email and text this morning that the case is being worked on, there are no updates at this time, and we'll be notified when status changes. There was no specification about which case, but since a late-August ROC at CSC is nowhere near being adjudicated, we're guessing this is about the N-400. Perhaps the ROC file has been transferred to the local office?

When I had my AOS interview, it was actually in Queens...now, the Queens office and the NY office operate inside of the same building in Manhattan...just on separate floors with separate time lines and caseload.

If you read a few pages back in this thread, a few of us commented on how we felt about online filing as opposed to paper  

Ok, thanks! I didn't have any AOS or ROC interviews, I've only been to the biometrics centre near Queensboro Plaza. Do the Manhattan and Queens time lines seem to be about the same? Agonizingly sluggish? I couldn't find Queens as a local service centre on the timelines recorded on visajourney to compare.

I had the exact same email from them this morning and was so worried!! And then I logged into the system and there's nothing there... I'm guessing it's just going to be my NOA, as I only applied last night.

Queens seems to move slightly faster than NYC because it's a slightly smaller caseload for that office.  But considering NY in general?  As a state we are the slowest, yeah, but only due to the larger amount of applicants.

Fprints:  Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.

@lover5 There is no priority date for N400 filing. Priority dates are for family based immigration petition where they give you a date for the next available visa number based on dates. For N400 application, it's called "filing date". In my case, the filing date was 7/12/2017. Cheers!

Now I don't know if I should wait for another week to submit again just in case like you said some miracles happen. So I guess I'll be at August threat.

 

I'm just curious as to any update on this?  Did it magically show up at USCIS finally or do you have to refile again?  Hoping the best for you...
